Janet Xu, the Executive Vice President of Sales and Master General Agent for Multi-Culture at California Life & Disability, Inc., brings a wealth of experience and a unique background to the company. Born in Fujian, China, Janet immigrated to the United States in 1982. Her professional journey began as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and she thrived in the technology sector for a decade before transitioning to financial services.
In 2002, Janet joined GE Capital as a Long-Term Care Insurance Specialist. She quickly made her mark, earning the title of “Rookie of the Year” and becoming the top producer in the nation during her first year.
In 2008, Janet joined California Life & Disability, Inc., where she expanded her expertise across multiple product lines. Her dedication and exceptional performance have been instrumental in the brokerage’s success, particularly in Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, Medicare Supplements, and Annuities.
By 2017, Janet had placed a total premium of $1,547,703, protecting 436 clients and their families. Her career trajectory saw her rise swiftly through the ranks, from District Manager to Regional Manager, then Vice President, and ultimately, Master General Agent. Janet’s passion for working with diverse cultures and her respect for different traditions have made her an invaluable leader in the Multicultural Division, a role she has embraced since joining the Board of Directors in 2018.
